Senior Sourcing Manager – Raw Materials (EMEA)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Sourcing Manager to lead the raw‑materials portfolio (≈ $600 M annual spend) at our strategic sourcing hub in Zug, Switzerland. Reporting to the Director of Sourcing, you will act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, shaping commodity strategy and guiding a small team of associates while working closely with North‑American partners.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute commodity buying strategies using index‑based pricing and volume leverage to protect margins.
• Analyse global market data and provide clear buy/hold/defer recommendations.
• Lead multi‑year negotiations with complex pricing, capacity and risk‑sharing clauses.
• Manage the full sourcing lifecycle – RFx, contract rollout, value‑engineering and global footprint optimisation.
• Coach and develop a team of 1‑2 direct reports, setting performance objectives and development plans.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, commodity management or procurement of high‑spend categories.
• Proven expertise in commodity buying, market timing, index‑linked pricing and margin protection.
• Direct experience sourcing specialised ingredients, chemical formulations, aroma chemicals or fragrance components, including regulatory and IP awareness.
• Experience working in a global sourcing environment with a North‑American vendor base, preferably in fast‑paced manufacturing or consumer‑goods companies.
