Senior Supply Planning Analyst – Outbound Logistics

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Supply Planning Analyst to lead outbound logistics planning for Vale Base Metals’ nickel products across Europe. The role coordinates the movement of commercial products valued at over USD 1 billion from refineries in Japan, the UK, Brazil and Canada to domestic and international customers, ensuring timely delivery and cost‑effective transportation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement weekly, monthly and yearly outbound logistics plans for nickel shipments.
• Coordinate with production, sales and warehouse teams to align shipping schedules with customer requirements.
• Manage short‑term planning, vessel fixing and delivery of shipping schedules.
• Monitor carrier performance, transportation costs and delivery metrics, and drive continuous improvement.
• Handle escalation of operational issues and ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
• Perform financial reconciliation of freight activities, including invoice processing and payment.

Required profile

• University degree in Supply Chain, International Trade or equivalent.
• 8–15 years of experience in logistics, supply planning or related fields.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• Experience with BusinessObjects/BI and Copilot Agents.
• Strong knowledge of SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA, particularly the SD module.
