Senior System Engineer

About the role

You will join a small, highly skilled ICT team at a leading solutions provider for Treasury and Capital Markets divisions. The team designs, operates and continuously improves a hybrid IT infrastructure supporting internal services and the proprietary MasterFinance platform deployed at customer sites.

Key responsibilities

• Manage Windows Server and Linux infrastructures, including hardware installation and maintenance.
• Administer virtualization platforms (Hyper‑V or VMware) and cloud services (Microsoft Azure and AWS).
• Oversee Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, endpoint management, backup, disaster recovery and business continuity solutions.
• Participate in infrastructure hardening, vulnerability remediation, modernization initiatives and technology improvement projects.
• Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.

Required profile

• 5+ years as a System Engineer in small‑mid teams with solid Windows Server, virtualization and storage experience.
• Hands‑on experience installing, configuring and troubleshooting Windows and Linux environments.
• Proficiency in PowerShell and/or Bash scripting and strong networking knowledge (OSI model, TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, firewalls).
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and/or AWS, as well as RDBMS and SQL (Oracle or PostgreSQL preferred).
• Fluent in Italian and English with excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills.
