Senior Tax Accountant – Tax Compliance

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join the tax team of an international bank in Zurich. You will work closely with the Head of Group Tax and Corporate Finance, ensuring accurate tax compliance and providing expert advice on indirect taxes.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Head of Group Tax with tax declarations and overall tax compliance.
• Advise business units on indirect tax matters for specific transactions and standard business models.
• Participate in treasury‑related tax activities.
• Prepare Swiss VAT declarations, perform annual sales reconciliations, and coordinate with Accounting.
• Ensure compliance for direct tax and turnover tax returns, including tax provision calculations.
• Review tax assessments and tax invoices.
• Assist with international tax issues and FATCA/CRS‑AIA documentation.
• Support liquidity and capital planning for Corporate Finance.
• Lead ad‑hoc indirect tax projects.

Required profile

• Professional experience in tax and accounting, preferably within banking or asset management.
• Strong background in VAT, transfer pricing, turnover tax, and tax compliance (FATCA & CRS/AIA).
• Experience with treasury tax matters.
• Ability to develop pragmatic solutions and work effectively in a team.
• Fluent in German and English with a precise work style.
