Sensor and Automation Specialist/Engineer

About the role

You will support or lead R&D projects related to sensors, test machines and automation within the Group Engineering team in Dübendorf, working in a young, international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Program and automate various machines and a production MES.
• Design, construct, improve and maintain advanced test benches in the lab.
• Support layout definition and organization of a new lab/building.
• Design and perform initial sample/proof‑of‑concept tests.
• Prepare engineering documentation and presentations.
• Plan projects, estimate risks and manage potential delays.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics Systems and Controls, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics or equivalent (Bachelor’s may be considered with relevant expertise).
• Expertise in sensors, actuators, electronics and control systems theory.
• Solid background in mechanical engineering and programming.
• Professional level in English and German.
