Short-Term Internship 2027 - Administration

About the role

CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, offers a short-term internship in administration in Geneva for 2027. It is a fully onsite placement of 40 hours per week lasting between 1 and 6 months, aimed at students who want their first steps into the workplace within a team of experts working on projects that connect science, technology and innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Support experienced professionals in their daily activities.
• Learn and apply new tools or methods relevant to your area of study.
• Contribute to small-scale projects under the guidance of your supervisor.
• Collaborate with people from diverse backgrounds in an international environment.

Required profile

• Currently studying in an administrative field, with a university requirement or encouragement to complete a practical training period.
• Eager to develop skills through on-the-job learning and enjoys teamwork.
• National of a CERN Member State or Associate Member State; Pakistani, Lithuanian, Latvian, Cypriot, Croatian and Turkish nationals are not eligible because the membership agreement ceiling has been reached.
• Pursuing a post-secondary degree (technical/administrative diploma, Bachelor's or Master's) and remaining a full-time student during the internship.
• Good knowledge of English or French.

What we offer

• A monthly allowance of 1,593 Swiss Francs.
• Paid leave for contracts of 4 months or more.
