Site Finances Accounting Technician

About the role

OPmobility, a global group focused on sustainable and connected mobility, is looking for an accounting technician for its site in Fribourg. The role covers accounting compliance, VAT declarations, accounting closing, accounts payable/receivable, payroll support and cash-flow monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure accounting compliance and VAT declarations, and control processes and rules related to Swiss tax and accounting rules
• Perform booking and checking of general accounting entries, and handle AP/AR for Plastic Omnium New Energies Fribourg
• Prepare statutory annual statements, tax returns and tax group reporting, and follow up local taxes
• Contribute to monthly, annual IFRS and Swiss Gap closing, including forecasting, and to the budgeting process
• Support internal and external audits and group compliance activities
• Manage payroll: close and pay monthly, collect timesheets, prepare employee declarations to Swiss authorities and insurances, and prepare employment contracts and certificates
• Manage travel agency accounts and prepare payments for the site
• Plan and monitor cash flow

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in accounting with 5 years of experience
• Experience in a multinational and/or in an audit or accounting firm
• Written and spoken English and French; German is a plus

Required skills

• Knowledge of Swiss accounting and tax standards and of international accounting rules
• SAP, e.g. SAP FI/CO, and MS Office
