Site GIS Engineering Leader

About the role

Gevernova is looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead and develop its engineering team at its Gas Insulated Switchgear factory in Oberentfelden. The role reports to the site leader and covers competencies, resource development and planning for primary and secondary engineering tasks, ensuring alignment and consistency across units. It has moderate autonomy and requires high operational judgment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies for engineering team competencies and resources, identify skill gaps and create training programs, and plan and allocate resources for engineering tasks and projects.
• Oversee the use of engineering tools such as CAD and configuration management systems, and ensure engineering processes are efficient, standardized and aligned with industry best practices.
• Implement and maintain engineering processes that support project execution.
• Manage interfaces between engineering and other departments (production, supply chain, quality, finance, R&D, IT) and promote a culture of continuous improvement and smooth collaboration across units.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Relevant experience in engineering management roles and in leading engineering projects.
• Fluent in German and English.

Required skills

• Proven experience with ERP systems (SAP), PLM systems (Windchill) and CAD tools (Creo).
• Strong knowledge of engineering processes and best practices.
• Excellent leadership, analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
