Site Manager – Underground Cable Installation

About the role

We are a leading Swiss cable company seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead the installation, maintenance, and repair of underground low‑ and high‑voltage cable systems. You will work on critical infrastructure projects, ensuring safe and efficient execution while supporting the professional development of your team.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare sites for underground cable work, including planning, material ordering, and equipment allocation.
• Organise and assign tasks to team members, monitoring progress to meet deadlines.
• Provide hands‑on training, guidance, and technical support on jointing operations.
• Inspect job sites for safety compliance and adherence to industry standards.
• Coordinate with contractors, utilities, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent.
• Monitor team performance and implement improvements.

Required profile

• Technical degree or vocational training in electrical or civil engineering or a related field.
• Several years of experience in cable construction, preferably high‑voltage systems.
• Proven experience as a Jointer or Site Manager in the electrical industry.
• Strong leadership, organisational, and solution‑oriented skills.
• Good English; German is a plus.
• Willingness to travel (≈30 %) and work on construction sites.
• Valid driving licence.
