Software Engineer (60%-100%)

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join myFacility, a fast‑growing Swiss startup developing data‑driven energy‑optimization solutions for buildings. The role is flexible (60%‑100%) and can be performed remotely or from our Zurich‑area office, allowing you to contribute to cutting‑edge algorithms that reduce CO₂ emissions and energy costs.

Key responsibilities

• Define the technical direction for architecture and algorithm development.
• Implement new functionalities from idea through requirements, development, testing, and roll‑out on distributed systems.
• Manage data models and machine‑learning models, ensuring robustness and scalability.
• Establish and maintain software development workflows and internal processes.
• Drive innovation partnerships with universities and support the CTO on strategic initiatives.

Required profile

• M.Sc. or PhD in Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics or a related field.
• Strong experience with machine‑learning solutions.
• Proficiency in Python and Java, with solid knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software design.
• Interest in optimizing building‑technology systems and willingness to improve core solutions.
• Fluent English communication skills.
