Software Engineer III, Deep Fusion, Search

About the role

Google's software engineers develop next‑generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information. In Google Search, we are reimagining what it means to search for information anywhere, solving complex engineering challenges at massive scale. As a Software Engineer III on the Deep Fusion team, you will work on critical projects that impact billions of users worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Write product or system development code.
• Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
• Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices.
• Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt it based on product updates and user feedback.
• Triage product or system issues and debug, track, and resolve them by analyzing impacts on hardware, network, or service operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year with an advanced degree.
• Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields (preferred).
• 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms (preferred).
• Experience developing accessible technologies (preferred).
