Software Engineer – Quant Engine Team

About the role

Evooq is expanding its Quant Engine team and is looking for a Software Engineer who can take full ownership of product development from design to production. You will work in a highly autonomous, cross‑functional environment alongside quants, backend engineers and product stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, test and deploy reliable, scalable services for the Quant Engine platform.
• Maintain and evolve well‑defined areas of the codebase with a high degree of autonomy.
• Collaborate closely with quant analysts, product owners and other engineering teams.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and support services in production.
• Apply AI‑assisted development tools responsibly while ensuring code quality.

Required profile

• Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience delivering production‑grade software.
• Proficiency in Go or a modern programming language with the ability to become productive in Go quickly.
• Experience building distributed systems and micro‑services in cloud environments, preferably AWS.
• Solid understanding of modern engineering practices such as Git, code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD and observability.
• Professional proficiency in English; French is a plus.
• Willingness to be based in Lausanne (or relocate) and hold Swiss or EU citizenship or a valid Swiss work permit.
