Specialist Air Export – Zurich

About the role

AIT Worldwide Logistics is looking for a Specialist Air Export in Zurich. The role ensures smooth, compliant operations for customers by implementing and maintaining customer-specific work processes and procedures, while handling assigned administrative tasks accurately and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Order processing and shipment registration
• Organization of freight and customs handling, as well as export control
• Preparation and monitoring of offers, and processing of billing to customers
• Processing of special orders and complaints, and supporting and advising customers and agents
• Preparation of delivery bills, customs documents and other paperwork
• Maintenance of statistics for performance measurement and accounting purposes
• Documentation and optimization of workflows, and support of supervisors in projects
• Executing all dangerous goods shipments in compliance with applicable laws and regulations
• Reporting unsafe or unhealthy conditions and possible improvements

Required profile

• Completed training in freight forwarding; additional export and DG (dangerous goods) training is an advantage
• At least 2 years of professional experience in the commercial area of export air freight
• Fluent oral and written English and German; additional major European languages are an asset
• Team player, proactive and reliable, with good organizational skills

Required skills

• Experience using freight forwarding software
• Efficient, fast and independent way of working
