Specialist - Footwear Production Quality Control & QA

About the role

On is looking for a Specialist in Footwear Production Quality Control / Quality Assurance to join its team in the Zurich factory. The role starts with a heavy focus on hands-on quality control, safeguarding factory output, and then evolves to integrate AI tools and move toward a broader quality assurance scope.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the gatekeeper for quality, ensuring 100% of products leaving the factory and warehouse meet premium standards.
• Carry out critical inspections of inbound Bottom Units (BU) and outbound production (A and B grades) at the end of the factory line, and AQL-based quality checks at the warehouse (Welti).
• Develop, write and uphold QC/QA standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure the factory team follows pre-QC processes.
• Investigate grading discrepancies between findings and factory output, and train factory personnel to meet brand standards using the production tracking tools.
• Work with cross-functional teams on Quality Control Assessments (QCA) and commercialization, understanding product details and specifications.
• Support the introduction of AI in quality controls, helping to train the systems and guide the shift from daily QC execution to a broader QA strategy.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in quality control and assurance, ideally in premium footwear or sporting goods.
• Proven ability to author and implement QC SOPs.
• Ability to investigate discrepancies, analyse quality data and train external or factory teams.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Adaptable to fast-paced environments and interested in technology and AI integration.
