Sr. Machine Learning Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Machine Learning Engineer to strengthen and accelerate our core development. You will join Specto Medical, reporting to the Head of AI, building robust AI and image‑processing pipelines for a FDA‑cleared, CE‑marked device.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimise image‑processing and machine‑learning setups, owning training and inference pipelines.
• Take charge of data management, governance and lineage, ensuring clean, traceable, secure training sets and owning data‑platform architecture.
• Create scalable, maintainable solutions that are simple to operate and built to last.
• Operate as a true maker: define execution paths from high‑level goals and drive decisions forward.

Required profile

• Excellence mindset: break down complex problems into simple, elegant, readable code.
• Core tech fluency: at least 5 years of production‑grade Python and PyTorch experience, with sophisticated image‑processing pipelines.
• Engineering mindset: focus on maintainability, reproducibility, automation and long‑term quality beyond notebooks.
