Sr. Manager, Process Engineering

About the role

The Sr. Manager, Process Engineering provides strategic and technical leadership for manufacturing and process engineering activities supporting DePuy Synthes operations. The role focuses on developing, optimizing, and sustaining robust manufacturing processes that ensure quality, efficiency, and scalability within a regulated medical device environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of process engineers responsible for manufacturing process design, optimization, and sustainment.
• Establish and execute process engineering strategies aligned with business, quality, and operational objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, cost, delivery, and productivity.
• Partner cross‑functionally with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, R&D, and Operations to support production performance and new product introductions.
• Provide technical oversight for process validations, equipment qualifications, and change management activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Chemical, or related); Master’s preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in process or manufacturing engineering.
• Prior people‑leadership experience managing engineering teams.
• Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment, preferably medical devices.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and process validation.
• Lean Six Sigma methodology (certification preferred).
• Automation, equipment integration, and advanced manufacturing technologies.
• Continuous improvement tools and techniques.
