Stack Technician – Fuel Cell Assembly

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Stack Technician to join our engineering team and help assemble, test and support the development of high‑performance fuel‑cell stacks. The role is based in our workshop and clean‑room facilities and offers the chance to work on cutting‑edge fuel‑cell technology for heavy‑duty mobility and stationary power.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble fuel‑cell stacks and sub‑assemblies following work instructions and quality standards.
• Handle and prepare membranes, MEAs, bipolar plates, gaskets and end plates.
• Operate assembly tooling, presses and leak/pressure test equipment.
• Support the build of prototypes and pre‑series stacks together with engineering.
• Record build data, perform basic in‑process checks and flag non‑conformities.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop and clean‑room environment.
• Contribute to the improvement of assembly processes and fixtures.

Required profile

• Technical apprenticeship (CFC) or diploma in mechanical, electro‑mechanical or related field.
• 3–4 years of experience in precision assembly, preferably in fuel cells, batteries, electronics or automotive.
• Comfortable with hand tools, torque tools and basic measurement equipment.
• Careful, quality‑focused with strong attention to detail.
• Able to read technical drawings and work instructions.
• Team player capable of working autonomously.
• Fluent in spoken and written English and/or French; German is a plus.
• Experience in clean‑room or controlled environments is a plus.
