Staff Planning Tool Intern

About the role

Labcorp is looking for a Staff Planning Tool Intern to join its Laboratory Resource Planning team in Geneva. The intern will review the current Excel-based staff planning used in the laboratories and propose a better, more flexible tool, then develop new plans for each department and train supervisors. The internship runs Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week (flexible to 80%), for 5 to 6 months, starting preferably in January 2026, and is paid.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse the existing Excel-based staff planning used in the laboratories and understand its limitations and requirements.
• Propose a better, easily adjustable tool to manage staff planning to the management team.
• Develop a new staff plan for each of the eight lab departments, taking into account HR rules, part-time arrangements, absences and specific bench training requirements.
• Train the supervisors to use the planning tool.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program; a Master's degree is preferred.
• Student eligible for an internship agreement with a third party.
• Intermediate level of English and French.
• Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders and internal and external colleagues.
