Staff Platform Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Staff Platform Engineer to own and evolve critical infrastructure and developer delivery systems. You will shape the architecture, scalability, and security of our CI/CD platform while enhancing developer productivity across a multinational engineering organization.

Key responsibilities

• Own, maintain, and evolve the CI/CD platform, including GitHub Actions with self‑hosted runners and migration of Jenkins infrastructure.
• Design and implement secure, scalable delivery pipelines with branch protection, pull‑request approvals, and secrets management.
• Build and manage AWS infrastructure as code using Terraform, Terragrunt, and Terramate, following reusable component patterns.
• Strengthen cloud security by transitioning to role‑based access, enforcing least‑privilege principles, and addressing security gaps.
• Support and improve Kubernetes‑based infrastructure on Amazon EKS using Helm and ArgoCD, promoting GitOps practices.
• Contribute to the observability stack (Grafana, Prometheus) and internal developer platform tooling (Backstage).
• Participate in incident triage, root‑cause analysis, and automation of self‑service tooling.

Required profile

• Extensive hands‑on experience with AWS production environments and security best practices.
• Deep expertise in CI/CD systems, particularly GitHub Actions and/or Jenkins.
• Strong background in Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and related tooling.
• Proven experience with Kubernetes, Amazon EKS, Helm, and GitOps workflows.
• Security‑first mindset with solid knowledge of IAM, role‑based access, and secrets management.
• Excellent troubleshooting, incident‑management, and communication skills in a distributed, multinational setting.
