Strategic Buyer – Professional Services Procurement

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Buyer to join our global manufacturing organisation in Basel. The role focuses on professional services procurement, ensuring sourcing excellence and delivering cost‑effective solutions for the business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end sourcing processes, including tendering, negotiations and contract management for professional services.
• Collaborate with global procurement teams and internal stakeholders to align sourcing strategies.
• Monitor supplier performance, drive cost optimisation and implement risk mitigation plans.
• Execute procurement projects and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain compliance with procurement policies and support system enhancements.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in strategic procurement, preferably within professional services categories.
• Proven track record in supplier negotiation and contract management.
• Strong understanding of category management and supplier relationship management.
• Fluent English and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
