Supply Chain Project Manager – Basel (Hybrid)

About the role

The Supply Chain Project Manager will lead transversal supply‑chain activities across engineering, design, production, logistics, procurement and quality for major aircraft programmes. Based in Basel, the role operates in a hybrid model and acts as the key interface between engineering and manufacturing to ensure timely delivery of long‑lead items and alignment with programme milestones.

Key responsibilities

• Lead complex, cross‑functional supply‑chain and industrial projects across engineering, production, logistics, procurement and quality.
• Identify and resolve supply‑chain bottlenecks causing schedule delays, design changes or supplier performance issues.
• Manage long‑lead items, supplier readiness, capacity assessments and ensure on‑time availability for programme milestones.
• Coordinate international suppliers and internal teams to align risk mitigation and delivery performance.
• Act as the primary interface between engineering and manufacturing to support industrialisation and resolve technical constraints.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience in supply‑chain, project or program management, preferably within aviation or aerospace.
• Proven track record leading large, complex industrial projects.
• Strong understanding of production workflows, long lead times and engineering‑manufacturing interfaces.

Required skills

• ERP systems – SAP (preferred).
• Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools.
• Project planning tools such as MS Project or equivalent.
