About the role
The Supply Planning Manager leads the end‑to‑end supply planning function at the Visp site, ensuring reliable production execution, optimized inventory and full material readiness for manufacturing operations.
Key responsibilities
- Own and optimise the site Master Production Schedule (MPS) aligning demand, supply, inventory, capacity and material availability.
- Lead short‑, medium‑ and long‑term supply planning processes, supporting S&OP/IBP with forecasts, scenario planning and risk assessments.
- Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Procurement, Logistics, Engineering, Finance and Project Management to resolve constraints and drive execution.
- Manage inventory strategy, capacity planning, supply risk mitigation and business continuity while balancing service levels and working capital.
- Establish and monitor planning KPIs, maintain master data and drive continuous improvement.
- Lead, develop and coach the Supply Planning team, building capabilities in SAP, IBP, MRP/MPS, inventory and capacity planning.
- Drive digitalisation, process optimisation and supply chain transformation ensuring cGMP compliance and audit readiness.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field.
- More than 10 years of progressive supply chain experience in a GMP‑regulated manufacturing environment.
- Proven people leadership and team development experience.
- Business‑fluent English; German is a plus.
- Strong collaborator and influencer able to lead cross‑functional initiatives.
Required skills
- Deep expertise in Master Production Scheduling (MPS), Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Rough‑Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP), S&OP and Integrated Business Planning (IBP).
- Hands‑on experience with SAP and SAP IBP systems.
- Inventory management and capacity planning proficiency.
- Supply chain risk management and digital transformation experience.
