System Administrator (IIS) – IT Support Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a System Administrator with strong IIS and Windows Server expertise to join an insurance client in Zurich. The position is a 12‑month fixed‑term contract, starting as soon as possible, with a hybrid work model (3 days onsite, 2 days remote).

Key responsibilities

• Ensure smooth operation and support of business‑critical IT applications.
• Provide 2nd‑level support, manage access, monitor batches, handle incidents and perform end‑to‑end monitoring.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with business units, vendors and internal teams.
• Create technical concepts and documentation.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
• 2–3 years of experience in a similar IT support or system administration role.
• Fluent in German and English, both spoken and written.
• Experience with Windows Server operating systems and web server administration (preferably IIS).
• Understanding of network and security concepts.
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Familiarity with ITIL service‑management practices.
• Comfortable working in a structured, process‑oriented environment.
