System Engineer IT/OT Manufacturing

About the role

Join a multidisciplinary engineering team at Roche Diagnostics to ensure the stability and scalability of the IT/OT landscape supporting sensor and cartridge manufacturing. You will work on day‑to‑day operations as well as strategic capacity‑expansion projects.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and develop manufacturing‑related IT/OT infrastructures, including servers, virtual environments, networks and production systems.
• Support troubleshooting, root‑cause investigations and corrective improvements across system, application and network layers.
• Coordinate patching, upgrades and lifecycle activities for manufacturing IT systems.
• Assist with new equipment introductions, capacity expansions and modernization projects from a system‑engineering perspective.

Required profile

• Degree, apprenticeship or advanced training in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, IT Infrastructure or a related discipline.
• Several years of experience in system engineering, IT administration or industrial IT, preferably in a regulated environment.
• Good German and strong English communication skills.

Required skills

• Windows and/or Linux server environments.
• Virtualization technologies and enterprise infrastructure concepts.
• Networking technologies such as LAN, VLAN, routing, switching and firewalls.
• Active Directory, backup management and infrastructure lifecycle management.
• Exposure to Operational Technology (OT) and smart‑factory/Industry 4.0 concepts.
