Systems Engineer (Linux & Windows)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join a cloud adoption and IT operations team. The role is fully remote and involves first‑level operational support, monitoring alerts, and troubleshooting Linux and Windows environments.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for customer requests and monitoring alerts, resolving incidents promptly.
• Configure, maintain, and optimise Linux and Windows systems, including kernel tuning, filesystem management, system configuration, and Active Directory.
• Operate web servers and load‑balancing solutions such as Traefik, NGINX, Envoy, and Apache.
• Manage TLS certificate termination and support database environments (MariaDB, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
• Monitor performance, investigate issues, and contribute to service reliability.
• Participate in rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.

Required profile

• At least five years of professional IT operations experience.
• Strong hands‑on Linux expertise and solid knowledge of Windows environments.
• Ability to work independently, document thoroughly, and share knowledge with colleagues.
• Fluency in English and Spanish; German is a plus.
