Systems Verification Engineer – Medical Device Imaging

About the role

Siemens Healthineers is hiring a Systems Verification Engineer within its Proton Therapy Imaging (PTI) team, an international group based in Switzerland, Hungary and Germany. PTI develops imaging product solutions integrated into the clinical workflow of the ProBeam and ProBeam360 treatment platforms. The role focuses on testing new products and owns the test laboratory.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure product verification succeeds and requirements are met with objective test evidence
• Define the verification strategy and design, modify and run design verification plans
• Design and maintain verification test cases, execute them and record objective evidence
• Ensure traceability between requirements and tests, document results and write verification reports
• Lead the local test laboratory and the local office test system
• Work with system engineering, software development (C# / C++) and project management
• Perform informal engineering testing during development and give feedback to engineers
• Evaluate imaging workflows and features to identify new developments
• Take on 10-20% of additional system engineering (HW/SW) or software development tasks
• Maintain a state-of-the-art test environment including AI-based test automation

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical, mechanical, biomedical engineering or an equivalent field
• 3-5 years of verification experience in the medical device business
• Fluent English, written and spoken; German is a plus
• Self-organised, engaged working style and good communication skills
• Travel activities of about 10%
