Team Leader Incoming Quality Control

About the role

Lead a team of 15‑20 IQC professionals to ensure that only high‑quality materials enter Hitachi Energy’s switchgear factories for High Voltage GIS and Generator Circuit Breakers. You will shape incoming inspection processes and collaborate closely with operations, supply chain, suppliers and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Coach, develop and manage the IQC team while driving operational and strategic improvements.
• Act as site responsible for compliance with relevant standards and handle urgent quality issues.
• Develop and continuously improve inspection plans for incoming materials.
• Maintain measurement equipment calibration and availability.
• Lead cross‑functional improvement initiatives with production, logistics, R&D, sourcing and other functions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• More than five years of experience in quality management, project or program management.
• Proven leadership experience or strong interest in leading people.
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of SAP, preferably in an SAP S/4HANA environment.
• Six Sigma Green Belt certification (advantageous).
