Technology Consultant – Restaurant IT Operations

About the role

McDonald’s Switzerland is looking for a Technology Consultant to join its IT Operations Team. You will act as the bridge between restaurant operations, external support partners and internal IT teams, ensuring reliable performance of point‑of‑sale and back‑office systems across the country.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Level 3 support for POS and back‑office restaurant management systems.
• Own complex escalations, perform root‑cause analysis and define corrective actions.
• Train and certify external service providers, ensuring consistent high‑quality support.
• Maintain and improve the knowledge base and standardised support processes.
• Manage major incidents, monitor service performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Serve as the primary interface between restaurant operations, IT teams and partners, translating technical topics for non‑technical audiences.

Required profile

• Approximately 5 years of experience in IT, technology support or a related field.
• Strong general IT knowledge and a troubleshooting mindset.
• Excellent communication skills with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• High motivation to learn quickly and develop technical expertise.
• Fluency in English and French or German; Italian is a plus.
