Technology Transfer Lead

About the role

Lonza is seeking a Technology Transfer Lead to oversee sterile GMP drug product manufacturing projects at its Stein site in Switzerland. The role involves managing transfers from clinical development through commercial launch and ensuring compliance with quality, regulatory and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical transfer activities for sterile GMP drug product projects.
• Define project scope, timelines, risks and milestones and track progress.
• Manage process setup, scale‑up and implementation at GMP manufacturing sites.
• Prepare and maintain technical transfer and process implementation documentation.
• Drive GMP change management, handle deviations and CAPAs.
• Support regulatory documentation, inspections, audits and customer interactions.

Required profile

• Ph.D. or Master in pharmaceutical sciences, engineering, chemistry, biochemistry or related field.
• Significant experience in biotech/pharma industry with knowledge of drug product technical transfers.
• Leadership and interpersonal skills with proven ability to manage cross‑functional teams.
• Strong planning, organizing, project and risk management abilities.
• Excellent written and oral communication in English.
