Test Technician (Electronics) – Generator Circuit Breakers

About the role
Hitachi Energy, the only global production site for generator circuit breakers, is looking for a test technician (electronics specialist) in Zurich. You will inspect and document products before they are shipped to customers worldwide, run Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) at the Zurich plant, analyse faults and make sure the circuit breakers meet the highest quality and safety standards.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and set up test objects for testing
- Carry out routine tests and FATs with international customers
- Assess and document test results
- Identify and fix mechanical and electrical faults
Required profile
- Completed vocational training in electrical trades (e.g. automation technician EFZ, electrical installer EFZ)
- Experience reading and understanding electrical schematics
- Good German and English
- Enjoyment of practical troubleshooting and technical challenges
