Tour Guide

About the role

As a Tour Guide with Guide Alliance, part of the Tourismus Group, you will lead engaging and well‑organised tours for international guests across Switzerland’s iconic cities, mountain regions and cultural sites. You will be the face of the experience, ensuring each visitor enjoys a professional, memorable journey from start to finish.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct guided tours in Swiss cities, mountain areas and cultural locations.
• Present historical, cultural and local information in an engaging and accessible manner.
• Create a welcoming and professional atmosphere for guests.
• Manage daily tour logistics independently and efficiently.
• Adapt calmly to schedule changes, weather conditions or guest needs.
• Collaborate closely with the operations team and partner companies.
• Report on tour execution and collect guest feedback.

Required profile

• Solid knowledge of Switzerland’s cultural and historical background.
• Previous experience in guiding, tourism, hospitality or related fields.
• Fluency in English; additional languages (German, French, Spanish, Italian, Polish) are advantageous.
• Clear communication skills and confidence speaking to groups.
• Professional appearance, punctuality and reliability.
• Ability to work independently and adapt in a dynamic environment.
• Willingness to travel and work weekends and public holidays.

Required skills

• Fluency in English; additional language proficiency is a plus.
• Strong verbal communication and presentation abilities.
• Professional demeanor and reliability.
