Trade Operations Specialist

About the role

The Trade Operations Specialist will manage the full lifecycle of dry bulk commodity contracts, focusing on seeds and grains. Based in Geneva, you will coordinate with trading, logistics, finance, and quality teams to ensure smooth, compliant execution across Europe, Asia, and the MENA region.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and allocate new vessels to the appropriate offices.
• Handle contractual declarations, extensions, and port declarations.
• Supervise nominations, provide chartering advice, and execute end‑to‑end contract processes.
• Coordinate cargo movements, stock management, and transfer procedures.
• Prepare and verify trade documentation with execution offices.
• Liaise with shared service teams, surveyors, insurers, and other external partners.
• Monitor contract performance, ensuring compliance with FOSFA, GAFTA, and internal standards.
• Review, validate, and approve invoices, costs, and insurance documents.
• Perform cost analysis and reporting on executed trades.
• Maintain communication with international stakeholders across Europe, Asia, and MENA.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of direct trade execution experience in dry bulk commodities (seeds and/or grains).
• Strong knowledge of international trade frameworks such as FOSFA and GAFTA.
• Experience working in European, Asian, and/or MENA markets.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SAP systems.
