Training Instructor / Coordinator - Vulcanizing

About the role

VAT, a Swiss manufacturer of vacuum valves headquartered in Haag, St. Gallen, is looking for a Training Instructor / Coordinator for its Vulcanizing area. You will qualify, train and develop employees, run effective training programmes and make sure qualification standards are met, thereby supporting product quality, process reliability and employee onboarding.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and deliver foundational and job-specific training in the Vulcanizing area, and ensure structured qualification of new and existing employees.
• Organise, conduct and document initial certifications and re-certifications, and monitor training progress against qualification requirements.
• Analyse knowledge assessments and identify refresher and development training needs.
• Develop and maintain training materials and concepts with operational departments and Quality Assurance, and support continuous improvement of training and onboarding.
• Provide technical guidance and coaching during onboarding and qualification, and take part in cross-functional and global training initiatives.

Required profile

• Completed vocational training or further education in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Manufacturing or a comparable technical discipline.
• Very good written and spoken German and English.
• Several years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of production and manufacturing processes; training, onboarding or coaching experience is an advantage.
• Structured, self-directed work style, clear technical communication, and strong interpersonal and coaching skills.
