Unit Lead Operational Engineering Steriles

About the role

The Unit Lead Operational Engineering Steriles is responsible for providing process and automation engineering support to all sterile manufacturing units at Roche's Kaiseraugst site. This role serves as the primary engineering contact for production equipment and ensures seamless collaboration with internal clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead process and automation engineering activities for sterile production buildings.
• Coordinate with CAPEX Engineering, Reliability, IT/OT and manufacturing units to resolve escalations.
• Plan demand, drive complex troubleshooting and lifecycle improvements.
• Represent Operational Engineering Steriles during health authority inspections and audits.
• Participate in E&S Leadership Team, set goals, coach team members and drive performance improvements.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in engineering (process, life‑science, chemical, electrical or automation) with ≥8 years pharmaceutical experience.
• Proven leadership experience using the VACC model (Visionary, Architect, Coach, Catalyst).
• Strong project delivery record for cross‑functional and CAPEX projects.
• Deep knowledge of health‑authority requirements and cGMP compliance.
• Fluent in German and English, both written and verbal.
