Vice President, Communications & Public Affairs, Innovative Medicine, EMEA

About the role

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a senior leader to serve as Vice President, Communications & Public Affairs for Innovative Medicine across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The role will shape the regional environment, protect the company’s reputation and drive business, policy and access priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and lead the CPA strategy aligned with global and regional business priorities, ensuring clear outcomes and accountability.
• Use geopolitical, policy and competitive intelligence to anticipate shifts, identify opportunities and influence decisions.
• Protect and strengthen trust through proactive reputation leadership, issue preparedness and crisis response.
• Drive cross‑sector alignment with MedTech and enterprise partners to present a unified Johnson & Johnson voice.
• Shape policy and access environments by partnering with Market Access, Government Affairs, Medical Affairs and commercial leaders.
• Lead, inspire and develop a diverse EMEA CPA organization of roughly 40 professionals.

Required profile

• 15+ years of progressively senior leadership experience in Communications, Corporate Affairs or Public Affairs, preferably in pharma or healthcare.
• Deep understanding of the geopolitical, healthcare, media and stakeholder landscape across EMEA.
• Proven ability to translate global strategy into regional execution and to influence senior business leaders.
• Experience leading large, diverse teams and building inclusive, high‑performing cultures.
