Vice President, Communications & Public Affairs, Innovative Medicine, EMEA

About the role

Johnson & Johnson is seeking an experienced enterprise leader to serve as Vice President, Communications & Public Affairs for Innovative Medicine across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. This senior executive will shape the regional environment, protect and enhance the company’s reputation, and drive key business, policy, and access priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the Communications, Public Affairs (CPA) strategy aligned with global and regional business priorities, ensuring clear outcomes and accountability.
• Use geopolitical, policy, stakeholder and competitive intelligence to anticipate shifts, identify opportunities and influence decisions.
• Lead proactive reputation management, crisis response, and cross‑sector alignment with MedTech and enterprise partners.
• Drive integrated regional communications across earned, owned, paid, social and digital channels, congresses, campaigns and patient advocacy.
• Provide high‑impact executive counsel to the EMEA Company Group Chair and regional leadership, shaping policy, access and stakeholder engagement.

Required profile

• 15+ years of progressively senior leadership experience in Communications, Corporate Affairs or Public Affairs, preferably within the pharmaceutical or broader healthcare sector.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a diverse, high‑performing team of around 40 professionals across regions, clusters and markets.
• Strong strategic thinking, judgment and ability to translate global strategy into regional execution while managing risk and compliance.
