Warehouse Operations Team Lead

About the role

Lead daily warehouse and outbound logistics activities for a regulated organization near Bern, ensuring on‑time customer shipments while driving continuous improvement and Lean initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, allocate and optimise resources based on workload, forecasts and business priorities.
• Manage and develop a warehouse team of approximately 25 people through coaching, training and performance management.
• Coordinate inventory control activities, cycle counts and stock accuracy processes.
• Monitor and report operational KPIs such as service levels, productivity and forecast adherence.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality and operational procedures, including GMP/GDP standards.
• Support audits, documentation updates and quality management requirements.
• Participate in logistics‑related projects, ERP system enhancements and implementation activities.
• Act as deputy for logistics leadership functions when required.

Required profile

• Professional qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain or a related discipline.
• 3‑5 years of experience in logistics or warehouse operations, preferably in a regulated manufacturing environment (medical devices, pharmaceuticals, healthcare).
• Proven experience leading and developing operational teams.
• Strong understanding of quality standards, compliance requirements and process‑driven operations.
• Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.
• Proactive, organised and service‑oriented personality with strong communication skills.

Required skills

• ERP systems knowledge.
• Advanced MS Office skills.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (advantageous).
