Stage juridique au Ministère public Jura bernois-Seeland

About the role

This is a six‑month legal internship with the Regional Public Prosecutor's Office for the Jura bernois‑Seeland district. The placement alternates between the offices in Bienne (starting 2027) and Tavannes (starting 2028) and offers hands‑on experience in criminal procedure.

Key responsibilities

• Drafting classification orders, non‑entry orders and suspension orders.
• Preparing criminal orders and sentencing decisions.
• Taking minutes of hearings and preparing official reports.
• Writing proposals for provisional detention and extensions thereof.
• Drafting indictments and pleadings.
• Analyzing case files to propose investigative measures.
• Conducting legal research and drafting legal opinions.
• Preparing requests for international judicial assistance.

Required profile

• Master‑level law studies (successful completion required).
• Strong interest and intuition for criminal procedure.
• Ability to deliver reliable, high‑quality work under tight deadlines.
• Resilience, perseverance and capacity to work under stress.
• Excellent communication skills and ease of contact.
• Native French speaker with good passive German knowledge.
