Technical Project Manager – Railway Rolling Stock

About the role

agap2, a European engineering services company, is looking for a Technical Project Manager to lead railway rolling‑stock projects. You will be the technical interface between clients, suppliers and internal teams, ensuring successful delivery from concept to validation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee technical projects across the entire lifecycle, from concept through delivery and validation.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams including engineering, production, quality, and procurement.
• Ensure compliance with rail industry standards, safety regulations and customer specifications.
• Act as a technical interface with clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor budgets, schedules and resources to guarantee efficient project execution.
• Prepare and deliver technical documentation, status reports and presentations for management and customers.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or a related technical field.
• Proven track record in technical project management within the rail or transportation industry.
• Strong understanding of complex technical systems and integration processes.
• Excellent communication skills in German and English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Structured, solution‑oriented, proactive working style with strong leadership qualities.
