Vice President Transactional Lawyer – Private Wealth Management (Zurich/London/Birmingham)

About the role

The team is seeking an enthusiastic Vice President Transactional Lawyer to join the EMEA Wealth Management Legal group, supporting Capital Markets, Private Bank and Regulatory teams across London, Birmingham and Zurich.

Key responsibilities

• Structure and draft documentation for a range of lending products, including securities‑based loans, consumer loans, deposits, regulated mortgages and asset‑backed financings.
• Support new product and platform launches for Capital Markets and Private Bank, and contribute to business transformation projects.
• Leverage AI tools to automate transaction execution and develop playbooks.
• Advise on collateral enforceability and security registration across EMEA jurisdictions.
• Interpret and advise on UK and European regulatory regimes such as CRD, MiFID II, MAR, EMIR and mortgage regulation.
• Liaise with global Goldman Sachs lawyers and external counsel on cross‑border regulatory and transactional matters.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with a minimum of two years post‑qualification experience.
• Experience in lending, derivatives or financial services advisory, gained in a reputable law firm or in‑house.
• Strong English language skills; additional European language knowledge is a plus.
