Logistics Operator (6-month contract)

About the role

We are seeking a Logistics Operator to support a client in Basel, ensuring smooth day-to-day logistics for laboratory and office environments. The role is a six-month fixed-term position starting 1 July 2026, working onsite.

Key responsibilities

• Manage warehouse operations, including ordering, requisition, and restocking of laboratory consumables and chemicals.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels and stock management.
• Oversee inbound and outbound shipments of pharmaceutical samples and technical materials in compliance with internal procedures.
• Support implementation of warehouse systems and methodologies such as 6S and Kanban.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Provide administrative and operational support for logistics activities.
• Assist with logistics and warehousing projects.
• Ensure smooth logistics support for daily laboratory and office operations.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics or warehouse operations.
• Degree or apprenticeship in Logistics or a related field.
• Strong planning and organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Very good English (written and spoken) and basic spoken German.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
