Consultant / Senior Consultant – International Development Strategy & Transformation

About the role

EY is looking for a Consultant or Senior Consultant to join its International Development Hub. You will work on strategy, transformation and operating‑model projects for UN agencies and other multilateral organisations, applying rigorous analysis and executive‑level communication.

Key responsibilities

• Support design and delivery of strategy and transformation engagements for UN entities and international development actors.
• Structure complex problems, develop hypotheses, conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis, and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Own discrete workstreams, manage timelines and deliverables, and produce high‑quality client outputs such as strategy papers, business cases, operating‑model designs, implementation roadmaps and executive presentations.
• Develop deep knowledge of the UN system, humanitarian and global‑health ecosystems, and multilateral reform agendas.
• Conduct research and benchmarking on institutional models, funding flows, governance arrangements and service‑delivery models.
• Apply data‑driven approaches, using advanced Excel, PowerPoint, data‑visualisation techniques and AI‑enabled tools to accelerate analysis and synthesis.

Required profile

• Strong consulting mindset with experience in structured problem solving and client service.
• Ability to work in politically sensitive, mission‑driven environments and collaborate with senior EY teams and multidisciplinary experts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting to executive audiences.
