Data Engineer - Snowflake Expert

About the role

Orange Business is seeking an expert Data Engineer with deep Snowflake knowledge to design, build and optimise a modern cloud data platform. You will work closely with data architects, analysts and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable and well‑governed data products.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and transformation workflows in Snowflake.
• Build efficient, reusable data models for analytics and reporting.
• Integrate structured and semi‑structured data from multiple sources.
• Optimise Snowflake queries, storage, compute resources, performance and costs.
• Implement automated data quality controls and monitoring.
• Ensure data security, governance, lineage and regulatory compliance.
• Contribute to CI/CD processes and deployment automation.
• Troubleshoot complex data and performance issues.
• Define engineering standards, conduct code reviews and mentor other engineers.
• Translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in data engineering and modern data platform development.
• Advanced hands‑on expertise with Snowflake, including SQL, data modelling, performance tuning, virtual warehouses, stages, streams, tasks and Snowpipe.
• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT architectures and data‑modelling principles.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Experience with orchestration and data‑integration tools, Git, automated testing and CI/CD.
• Good knowledge of data quality, observability, governance and security.
• Strong analytical, communication and problem‑solving skills.
