Financial Policy Officer – Private Sector Funding & Partnerships

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Financial Policy Officer to support its Private Sector Partnerships Division. Based in Geneva, the officer will develop financial guidance, design innovative funding approaches, and create governance frameworks that enable effective collaboration with private‑sector actors.

Key responsibilities

• Provide dedicated financial policy and structuring support for private‑sector engagements.
• Assist field offices and the Private Sector Partnerships Division in designing tailored financial guidance.
• Develop innovative funding mechanisms and financial governance frameworks.
• Facilitate fundraising initiatives and scaled‑up partnerships with private‑sector stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the Financial Policy Specialist and Private Finance Officer to ensure alignment with IOM’s overall financial policies.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree in finance, economics, public policy or a related field.
• Professional experience in financial policy, structuring, or private‑sector financing, preferably within an international organization.
• Strong understanding of migration‑related financing and partnership models.
• Excellent analytical, drafting and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple units and geographic locations.
