Head of People & Talent Acquisition

About the role

Flatpay is launching in Switzerland and is looking for its first Head of People & Talent Acquisition. You will build the people function from scratch, recruit several new colleagues each month, set up the processes that allow responsible growth and make Flatpay the workplace Swiss talent wants to join. You will work directly with the Managing Director and the local leadership team and build your own People team as the company scales.

Key responsibilities

• Own talent acquisition end to end: design and run the full recruitment process with hiring managers, from pipeline and channel strategy through job postings and interviews, to meet ambitious hiring targets.
• Shape the people strategy by working with the Managing Director and leadership team to develop and deliver HR strategies aligned with business goals.
• Run HR operations: set up and manage the employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding.
• Support employees: handle employee relations, resolve conflicts and foster a positive, high-performing culture.
• Ensure compliance: keep the company compliant with Swiss labor law, manage risk and drive best practices.
• Build your team: hire and lead the People team as it grows.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in HR, Business Administration or a related field.
• Proven experience in talent acquisition and HR operations in a fast-paced environment, ideally supporting growth or building new teams.
• Fluent German and English; French is a plus.
• Hands-on and proactive, able to build processes from scratch, juggle priorities and partner closely with managers.
• Commercial mindset, comfortable analyzing financial and people metrics.
• Leadership experience is an advantage, since you will build and lead your team over time.
