Management & Communication Intern – UN Office at Geneva

About the role

The Management and Communication Unit at the United Nations Office at Geneva is looking for a motivated intern to support its training and communication activities. You will work closely with the Chief of the Unit and the Training Manager, gaining exposure to UN learning programmes, event coordination, and internal communications.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in designing, implementing and evaluating training programmes on topics such as leadership, diversity, equity, inclusion and career development.
• Support participants of online and in‑person courses by managing logistics, updating learning platforms and handling communications throughout the learning journey.
• Collect and analyse feedback, edit surveys and contribute to continuous improvement of training effectiveness.
• Create and publish internal marketing materials, including newsletters, activity calendars and website updates.
• Collaborate with cross‑departmental teams to produce visual content and help redesign the CLM video to showcase its vision and initiatives.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in, or having recently completed, a graduate‑level programme (Master’s or Ph.D.) or the final year of a Bachelor’s degree.
• Field of study related to management, communication, education, human resources or a similar discipline.
• No prior professional experience required; a strong interest in UN training and communication activities is essential.

Required skills

• No specific technical skills required; willingness to learn and adapt to UN tools and platforms is expected.
