Senior AI Lead

About the role

We are seeking a Senior AI Lead to shape and execute the artificial intelligence strategy of a technology‑driven organisation. The role will turn AI concepts into concrete business enablers across engineering, product development, certification and support while keeping security, compliance and sustainability at the core.

Key responsibilities

• Define and continuously evolve an organisation‑wide AI vision, strategy and implementation roadmap in partnership with Engineering, Product, IT, Quality and senior management.
• Establish an AI governance framework that ensures responsible, secure adoption in line with regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Identify, prioritize and drive AI opportunities across engineering, product, certification, quality, operations and support, focusing on measurable business value.
• Monitor emerging technologies such as Large Language Models, agentic systems and enterprise AI platforms, and advise on their adoption.
• Define AI architecture principles, solution‑selection criteria and support strategic decisions on AI platforms, services and tools.
• Integrate AI capabilities into existing engineering environments and toolchains while maintaining traceability and configuration management.
• Lead pilots, proof‑of‑concepts and innovation initiatives, evaluating benefits, risks and scalability before broader rollout.
• Promote organisational AI adoption through training, coaching and awareness programmes, and provide strategic guidance on regulatory developments.

Required profile

• At least 10 years of experience in software engineering, digital transformation, enterprise architecture, data and AI or related fields.
• Proven track record leading AI initiatives, digital transformation programmes or organisation‑wide technology adoption projects.
• Strong ability to translate business objectives into clear technology strategies and investment roadmaps.
• Deep understanding of modern AI technologies, their limitations and associated risks.
• Experience designing enterprise‑level architectures with a solid grasp of cybersecurity, data governance, privacy, IP and compliance requirements.
