Storage & Backup Engineer (80-100%)

About the role

Lombard Odier is seeking a Storage & Backup Engineer to join a team of 15 system engineering experts managing a global infrastructure of over 7,000 servers. You will be responsible for the design, operation, and evolution of enterprise storage, SAN fabrics, and backup services that support critical banking operations worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise storage, SAN, and backup infrastructures.
• Ensure performance, availability, and resiliency of data storage and protection services.
• Lead modernization projects, including replication, disaster recovery, and object‑storage initiatives.
• Drive automation to reduce manual tasks and improve operational efficiency.
• Provide capacity planning, performance monitoring, and documentation while complying with security and governance standards.

Required profile

• Higher education in Computer Science, Communication Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with enterprise storage and backup technologies.
• Proven experience managing storage arrays and SAN infrastructure.

Required skills

• Enterprise storage arrays (e.g., NetApp, Dell EMC, HPE).
• SAN fabrics, switches, and zoning configurations.
• Replication technologies and Active‑Active disaster‑recovery solutions.
• Backup and recovery platforms.
