Technicien de maintenance – Hôtel

About the role

As a Maintenance Technician you will respond to guest repair requests, communicate with guests to resolve issues, and perform preventive maintenance on hotel tools, kitchen equipment and mechanical‑room systems.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests and communicate solutions.
• Perform preventive maintenance, cleaning and lubrication of tools, kitchen and mechanical‑room equipment.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment and machines; carry necessary equipment.
• Identify, locate and operate shut‑off valves for equipment and building utilities.
• Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies.
• Document daily activities and hand over information to other shifts.
• Execute basic repairs: painting, drywall, wood trim, light‑bulb and A/C filter replacement, plumbing (toilet plunging, drain unclogging), electrical components (lamps, switches, outlets), TV programming and general housekeeping inventory duties.
• Use Lockout/Tagout procedures before any maintenance work.
• Perform interior and exterior landscaping repairs and sprinkler maintenance.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Some experience in general maintenance, surface preparation and painting; hotel engineering experience is a plus.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Valid driver’s license.

Required skills

• Air‑conditioning and refrigeration knowledge.
• Electrical, mechanical and plumbing troubleshooting.
• Pneumatic/electronic systems and controls.
• Carpentry, painting and drywall repair.
• Lockout/Tagout safety procedures.
• Basic computer skills for HVAC scheduling and temperature adjustments.
• Landscaping and sprinkler system maintenance.
