About the role
The United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI) is seeking an intern to support the follow‑up phase of its Academic Engagement Taskforce. The internship will contribute to bridging the gap between sustainable‑finance researchers and market actors, building on the outcomes of the UNEP FI Global Roundtable 2026.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the Nature and Academic Engagement Lead in coordinating follow‑up activities from the Taskforce.
- Support the development of research outputs, outreach materials, and potential collaborations with academic institutions.
- Help expand academic engagement to banking and insurance sectors, as identified by the Taskforce.
- Contribute to the preparation of reports, scoping papers, and documentation related to the initiative.
- Participate in virtual and on‑site meetings with UNEP FI members, researchers, and partners.
Required profile
- Strong interest in sustainable finance and environmental research.
- Enthusiasm for working in an international, multidisciplinary team.
